About Lisa
Lisa Reidsema is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Certified Addiction Professional (CAP), and EMDRIA-Certified EMDR Therapist. She is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). Her practice focuses on trauma, anxiety, and the ways early experience continues to shape adult life.
Lisa's approach is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in the belief that healing is not one-size-fits-all. In addition to evidence-based modalities, including EMDR, CBT, and solution-focused therapy, she often recommends complementary practices such as yoga, meditation, acupuncture, and somatic work when they align with a client's needs and goals. She works mainly with individuals.
Before becoming a clinician, Lisa spent nearly 15 years as a high school English and ESOL teacher, which gives her a particular sensitivity to the pressures facing teenagers and young adults, including anxiety, academic stress, self-harm, and adjustment challenges. She completed her Master's in Mental Health Counseling and has trained extensively in trauma-focused care, including completing the GSAHEC Returning Veterans Mental Health Program.
Lisa sees clients via telehealth and is currently accepting new referrals. To inquire about availability, use the contact form below.
